Zong Ad campaign! Creative or What?
Saturday, 06. 20. 2009 – Category: BrandWatch, Movies
Our readers must be aware of the recent ad campaigns of Zong where few guys and girls announce their phone numbers and networks publicly. Although the concept is to indirectly attack other mobile networks, the message is clear.
When analyzing the ad campaigns, they indeed look creative. However in the society we live in, it looks odd that a girl appears on TV and announces her mobile number publicly even though the number is fake. This could be perhaps an attempt to attract the youngsters and fanboys of the models shown in the ads.
So while noting the phone numbers, one certainly contains the long term impression that it was a ‘Zong’ ad. Good technique but still sounds odd, or perhaps few people might call this campaign ‘unethical.’
Anyway, Watch the ad below and let us know your reaction to this ad, did you tried to note down the phone number of your favorite model? or even tried to give a missed call? or what did you thought of this ad campaign.
